Catra is one of the main villains in the She-Ra: Princess of Power series and serves as a formidable rival to She-Ra. As a member of the Evil Horde, Catra is known for her cunning, ambition, and fierce loyalty to Hordak, the leader of the Horde. She’s intelligent, sly, and will go to great lengths to capture She-Ra and thwart the Rebellion’s efforts. One of her unique abilities is the power to transform into a large panther when she wears her magical mask, giving her an added edge in combat and making her a dangerous foe.
Visually, Catra has a signature look that exudes a mix of glamour and villainy. She’s often seen in a striking red outfit and, most notably, wears her cat-themed mask, which is a key part of her transformation ability.
The 1980s Catra doll, produced by Mattel, captures her fierce and flashy persona. Dressed in a red and purple outfit with glittery details, the doll includes her signature mask, which can be placed on her face or removed to reveal her striking features. This mask lets her “transform” just like in the show, where she would use it to turn into a wild cat. Catra also came with a tail-like accessory and a whip, emphasizing her wild, cat-like persona.
