Polly Pocket was a popular line of miniature doll playsets first introduced by Bluebird Toys in 1989. These sets typically featured a tiny doll named Polly, who experienced all sorts of awesome adventures in compact, portable cases.
Over the years, Polly Pocket has released a wide range of sets (very wide, in fact, as there are hundreds of them!). Among these sets are the vintage Disney-themed Polly Pocket cases that have become highly collectible among fans. These sets featured locations and characters from Disney movies.
To make things easier to scan, I have divided the Disney sets into two. First, I will show you the castles and palaces inspired by the movies. And after that, you’ll be able to find the rest of the compacts based on the various Disney characters and locations. So, let’s get started.

Castles & Palaces
The vintage Disney Polly Pocket sets were first released in the 1990s and featured iconic Disney characters and settings, including Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin – among many others!
In my opinion, the most beautiful Disney sets are the Polly Pocket castles and palaces inspired by the animated movies (like Cinderella’s enchanted castle or the Beauty and the Beast magical castle, both of which are enormous compared to the original compacts and have incredibly satisfying colors!).
Many collectors consider the Polly Pocket Disney sets to be some of the best “compacts” created by Bluebird Toys. So, I thought I would put them all together in a handy list in case you want to learn more about them (or gift them to yourself or someone else who also loves Polly Pocket or all things vintage). Without further ado, here are all the Polly Pocket Disney castle or palace sets and where to get them.
Cinderella’s Enchanted Castle (1995)
This Polly Pocket Disney set included a miniature Cinderella doll and a castle-shaped case. Inside the case, you could find various rooms and scenes from the Cinderella story.
Little Mermaid Ariel’s Undersea Palace (1996)
The Polly Pocket Little Mermaid set faithfully recreates iconic scenes from the movie, including Ariel’s grotto, King Triton’s palace, and the bustling underwater marketplace.
Beauty and The Beast Magical Castle (1997)
This set was based on Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and features a miniature Belle doll and a castle-shaped compact with a library and ballroom.
Jasmine’s Royal Palace (1995)
The Disney Polly Pocket Aladdin Jasmine’s Royal Palace playset is one of the most iconic and highly sought-after vintage Disney compacts from the 1990s.
Mulan’s Palace (1997)
This playset features a miniature palace and many scenes inspired by Mulan’s adventures in ancient China, including gardens and interiors.
Cinderella’s Wedding Palace (1995)
The playset replicates the iconic Wedding Palace scene from Disney’s “Cinderella” and includes a beautifully designed palace with grand arches.
101 Dalmatians Cruella’s House (1996)
This Polly Pocket Disney set included a miniature Cinderella doll and a castle-shaped case. Inside the case, you could find various rooms and scenes from the Cinderella story.

Character Playcases
Bluebird Toys also released a series of compacts based on the characters from Disney movies. One of the standout features of these compacts was their portability (they are much smaller than the playsets that came after, which featured castles, palaces, and homes). They were, in fact, designed to be the perfect companions for on-the-go play.
For Polly Pocket collectors, these Disney-themed compacts that feature the characters are coveted items, not only because of their nostalgic value but also because of their exceptional craftsmanship and beauty. They are also really consistent, so they look incredibly attractive when displayed in a row. Donald Duck Compact Playcase (1996)
A magenta compact with a woodland scene, opening cottage and folding tree branches. Includes Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, with mechanisms for hiding and jumping.
Hunchback of Notre Dame Compact Playcase (1995)
A dark magenta case with a three-level cathedral, courtyard and swinging bell. Includes Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus and three gargoyles.

A blue-violet heart-shaped compact with a staircase, balcony, banquet area and ballroom. Includes Belle and the Beast, with a rotating floor that makes them dance.
