Polly Pocket is a toy line originally created by Bluebird Toys. The first Poly Pocket sets were designed by Chris Wiggs in 1983 for his daughter Kate using a makeup powder compact. By 1989, the first Polly Pockets were sold in stores in the United Kingdom. In the early 1990s, Bluebird Toys made a distribution arrangement with Mattel and was purchased by it in 1998. Vintage Bluebird Polly Pocket Sets 1989
The Vintage Bluebird Polly Pocket Sets were known for their intricate designs and attention to detail.
