Explore all the action figures from the collection Saint Seiya Soul of God, twelve Gold Saints wearing the elaborate divine versions of their zodiac armor introduced in the 2015 anime Saint Seiya Soul of Gold.
More by Release Year/Type:
The Saint Seiya Soul of God anime takes place shortly after the twelve Gold Saints sacrifice themselves at the Wailing Wall during the Hades arc. Instead of remaining dead, they mysteriously awaken in Asgard. Leo Aiolia becomes the central character, but the series gives all twelve Gold Saints opportunities to fight and develop. Their ordinary Gold Cloths eventually evolve into enormous God Cloths after responding to their Cosmo and Athena’s power. These transformations are the basis of the collectible figures.
Bandai’s Saint Cloth Myth EX figures try to reproduce those God Cloths very literally. The God Cloth designs are much larger and more ornate than the ordinary Gold Cloths. They feature wings, extended shoulder armor, layered plating, translucent details, interchangeable faces and hands, and character-specific accessories. Libra Dohko, for example, includes Libra’s complete weapon collection and bonus faces used to recreate the Athena Exclamation with Mu and Saga.
Each figure in the line is fully articulated and measures roughly 16–19 cm tall, depending on the character. The armor combines plastic and die-cast metal, and it can be removed and assembled on an included frame in Object form—the zodiac-statue configuration associated with Saint Seiya Cloths. Bandai designed the EX system for better proportions, articulation, and armor integration than the older Saint Cloth Myth body.
Strengths:
New Saint Seiya Knights of the Zodiac
The armor is removable and combines ABS plastic, PVC and die-cast metal. It can be attached to the articulated character or assembled separately around an included frame to create the zodiac “Object” form. Bandai’s EX format provides slimmer bodies, improved proportions and more articulation than the original Saint Cloth Myth system, although the enormous God Cloth components can restrict movement. Libra Dohko stands around 17 cm tall, which is representative of the range, though the characters and their wings vary substantially in size.
If you want only one Soul of God figure, Leo Aiolia is the central Soul of Gold character and the most representative choice. Gemini Saga, Sagittarius Aiolos, Virgo Shaka and Libra Dohko tend to make especially imposing standalone displays. For a complete set, matching releases and box condition matters less than checking every armor piece, wing, hand and Object-frame component is present.
