Description
This Rainbow Brite doll was 12 inches high and came with a green sprite called Twink.
The first line-up of Rainbow Brite and Color Kids dolls was released in 1983. The concept of Rainbow Brite began as a Hallmark greeting card illustration, but a partnership with Mattel led to a line of dolls and toys based on stories centered on Rainbow Brite and her friends. In 1984, a TV special and a comic were released, and in 1986, a popular TV series followed. These shows were screened around the world.
The 1983 Rainbow Brite dolls measured between 12 and 18 inches, and some came with a companion sprite. You can see the full list here or by scrolling further.
