Description
During the 1980s, these Care Bears minifigures, which were small collectible versions of the previously successful poseable Care Bears, were incredibly popular. They are made of PVC plastic and part of the original vintage collectible sets, and can still be found today. The miniature Care Bears had several variations for each character. I have listed these below!
Baby Tugs Bear is a Care Bear cub, one of the youngest members of the Care Bears family. He is the twin brother of Baby Hugs Bear, and the two are often seen together in stories and animated appearances. He debuted in the 1984 television special The Care Bears Battle the Freeze Machine, and has appeared in many Care Bears shows and movies since then, including The Care Bears Movie (1985).
- Fur colour: Light baby blue.
- Belly badge: Originally a yellow Starbuddy inside a blue diaper, reflecting his baby‑cub status. In later animated series, his belly badge was sometimes updated (for example, to a pink heart inside a yellow star).
- Traits: Curious, playful, and rough‑and‑tumble, Tugs often imagines himself as a full‑fledged Care Bear, eager to help and brave despite being quite young. He and his sister frequently get into innocent mischief but usually learn caring lessons along the way.
Variants:
- Baby Tugs Miniature Figure I: Sitting on his knees and playing with yellow and pink blocks.
- Baby Tugs Miniature Figure II: Sitting with a red bucket on the side.
