Chief is a brave and dependable Big Brother Pony, always ready to rush in and save the day. With his strong white coat and a bold blue mane streaked with yellow, he has the look of a true hero. His symbol, a red fire hose and a yellow ladder, reflects his fearless nature and his role as Ponyland’s go-to problem solver. Whether he’s putting out imaginary fires, rescuing stranded ponies, or leading daring missions, Chief is always at the front lines of any adventure. He thrives on action and excitement, never backing down from a challenge and always finding a way to help others. His energy is contagious, and he’s the first to rally his friends for a game, a race, or a fun obstacle course.
But beyond his heroic side, Chief is also a caring and protective friend. He takes his responsibilities seriously, always looking out for those who need him and making sure everypony feels safe. He’s got a natural leadership quality, but he never lets it go to his head—he believes teamwork and friendship are just as important as bravery. When he’s not busy on a mission, he enjoys relaxing with his fellow Big Brother Ponies, sharing stories of their latest adventures, or just having fun. He’s proof that courage isn’t just about being strong—it’s about having a big heart and always being there when it matters most.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.
The world of My Little Pony is… huge. We’re talking thirteen years of collections featuring all sorts of figures and toys! So, I’ve been working on creating smaller guides to help you navigate this wonderful pastel-colored world. Below, you will find (some!) pages with ponies sorted by year, collection (such as Birthflower ponies, Spanish Piggies, etc), country, and much more. I hope they help!
With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line.
The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world. Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
