Ice Crystal is a calm, cool, and collected pony who brings a sense of peace wherever he goes. His light green coat and white mane streaked with green make him look as crisp and refreshing as freshly fallen snow. His symbol, a cluster of white snowflakes, represents his love for winter, the quiet beauty of snow-covered landscapes, and the serenity of cold, crisp air. He enjoys the stillness of a snowy morning and the way the world sparkles under the frost. Unlike some of his more energetic Big Brother friends, Ice Crystal prefers a slower pace, taking time to appreciate every detail of the world around him.
Though he may be quiet, Ice Crystal is incredibly wise and observant. He often notices things others overlook, making him a great problem solver and a friend who always offers thoughtful advice. He’s also surprisingly playful when the mood strikes—he loves a good snowball fight or ice-skating race. Whether he’s admiring a frozen lake, building a snowpony, or helping a friend find clarity in a tough situation, Ice Crystal is a steady and reliable presence.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.
The world of My Little Pony is… huge. We’re talking thirteen years of collections featuring all sorts of figures and toys! So, I’ve been working on creating smaller guides to help you navigate this wonderful pastel-colored world. Below, you will find (some!) pages with ponies sorted by year, collection (such as Birthflower ponies, Spanish Piggies, etc), country, and much more. I hope they help!
With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line.
The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world. Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
