Description

Wigwam is a strong, dependable Big Brother Pony who is always ready for a new adventure. With his bold orange coat and striking white mane with a blue streak, he stands out as a leader and protector in Ponyland. His **symbol—a collection of blue and red teepees, a crescent moon, a red star, and a zigzag line—represents his connection to the land, the night sky, and the stories of the past. Wigwam loves exploring nature, whether it’s galloping across open fields, climbing rocky cliffs, or setting up camp under a starlit sky. He has a deep appreciation for the world around him and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the land with his friends. Whether he’s leading a group on a trail through Ponyland or teaching younger ponies how to navigate by the stars, Wigwam is always eager to pass down what he knows.

Beyond his adventurous side, Wigwam is a deeply loyal and protective friend. He believes in looking out for others and always being there when somepony needs a helping hoof. He has a quiet confidence that makes him a natural leader, and though he can be serious when the moment calls for it, he also loves a good laugh and a fun challenge. He enjoys friendly competitions, racing through open fields, and proving his strength in playful games. But at the end of the day, his favorite moments are spent around a warm campfire, telling stories of past adventures and dreaming about the next one. Wigwam is the kind of pony who makes everypony feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them.

My Little Pony G1 Essentials

If you want to learn more about ponies and how to restore them, here are two resources that can help. The first is the unofficial MLP G1 guide (which has photos, prices, etc). The second is my own book, Restoring My Little Pony!

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.

This unofficial MLP guide to the first generation of My Little Pony (known as G1) was created by Summer Hayes. The book provides everything a collector needs to identify G1 ponies and their accessories, and understand their value. The guide contains large, full color photos of every pony, playset and accessory released in the US (and in some cases in other countries) in the 1980s and 1990s.

More My Little Pony Merch and Toys

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.
