Dabble is a My Little Pony Generation 1 vintage toy released by Hasbro in 1988-1989 as part of the Pretty Mane Ponies collection.
The Pretty Mane Ponies are gradient-haired ponies whose bodies look like flutters but have wings. From the brochure: “Scribbles and Dabble, the Pretty Mane Ponies, want to look their best for the party! They even painted their manes with beautiful splashes of color. They’re truly one of a kind”.
Dabble is in the rosedust (without wings) pose, has dark purple to aqua hair, pink eyes, and a slice of pink and white cake.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
