Description

Satin ‘n Lace is a G1 Mail Order Pony, making her a special and exclusive pony that fans could only get through a mail-in offer rather than store shelves. She was designed as a bride-themed pony, adding a touch of elegance and celebration to the My Little Pony world. Satin ‘n Lace came in three different versions: Lavender, Magenta, and So Soft, each with the same symbol and theme but slightly different looks.

No matter the version, Satin ‘n Lace was sculpted in the Posey Pose, giving her a graceful and delicate stance. She has a fading pink mane and tail, which transitions from a soft pastel to a deeper pink, adding to her charm. Her symbol features two white bells tied with a blue ribbon, symbolizing a wedding or a joyous occasion. With her blue eyes and beautiful, classic design, Satin ‘n Lace remains a treasured collectible among My Little Pony fans.

Versions:

  • Lavender Satin ‘n Lace: Classic version with a lavender body and fading pink hair.
  • So Soft Satin ‘n Lace: Flocked version (covered in soft fuzz) with the same lavender body underneath.
  • Magenta Satin ‘n Lace: A brighter, more vivid variation with a magenta body instead of lavender.

More Vintage My Little Pony

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

(My!) My Little Pony G1 Guides

The world of My Little Pony is… huge. We’re talking thirteen years of collections featuring all sorts of figures and toys! So, I’ve been working on creating smaller guides to help you navigate this wonderful pastel-colored world. Below, you will find (some!) pages with ponies sorted by year, collection (such as Birthflower ponies, Spanish Piggies, etc), country, and much more. I hope they help!

With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line.

The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world. Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
