The G1 Birthflower January Carnation (Alternate) is a rare variation of the standard Birthflower January Carnation pony. Unlike the typical white-bodied version with a magenta mane, the Alternate Carnation features a slightly more colorful design with pink and green hues. Her symbol, a carnation flower, remains consistent with the January theme, representing admiration and love.
The G1 Birthflower Ponies are a unique set of twelve My Little Ponies, each representing a month of the year with a corresponding birth flower symbol. Released as Mail Order exclusives, these ponies featured primarily white bodies with magenta manes and tails, along with their respective flower symbol in a matching magenta color. As part of the Alternate Birthflower Pony set, Alternates were produced in much smaller quantities compared to the standard versions, making them a prized collectible among My Little Pony fans.
