Moondancer is a Generation 1 My Little Pony introduced in 1983. She features a white body, a mane and tail of red with a purple streak, purple eyes, and a symbol of a silver moon surrounded by eight red stars. In the animated special “Rescue at Midnight Castle,” also known as “Firefly’s Adventure,” Moondancer is portrayed as a magical unicorn with a graceful presence. She is depicted as a pony who loves to dance under the moonlight, embodying elegance and a mystical aura. Moondancer’s character adds a touch of enchantment to the My Little Pony universe, captivating fans with her serene demeanor and celestial theme.
In 1984, a baby version of Moondancer was released, featuring similar coloring and symbols, further endearing her to collectors and fans alike. Moondancer was also produced in various international versions, each with unique variations in color and design. For instance, the Argentinian Moondancer came in multiple variants, including one with a white body, red, yellow, and green hair, lime green eyes, and green outlines of stars. Another variant featured a mint green body, white hair, blue eyes, and red outlines of stars. These international versions have become highly sought after by collectors, showcasing the global appeal and diverse representations of Moondancer.
The accessories were a blue star comb, a light blue ribbon, and a puffy sticker.

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.
