Description

Posey is a Generation 1 Earth Pony released in 1985, though her hoof is stamped with the year 1984. She has a light yellow body with pink hair and six pink tulips with green stems as her symbol. In terms of collectability, she is considered a common pony because she is pretty easy to find.

About the Character

Posey is known for her love of gardening and is often depicted tending to flowers, embodying a nurturing and gentle personality. She was featured in the series “My Little Pony and Friends” and was one of the six ponies in the “Seven Songs and a Story” My Little Pony picture disk and cassette tape released in the UK.

MLP G1 Posey Variations

Internationally, Posey had several variations. In the UK, a 1986 release featured her with magenta tulips as her symbol, likely to ensure visibility through the flocking of her U.S. So Soft counterpart. This version was sold with an aqua bird brush and matching aqua ribbon. In Italy, Posey was released with two known variants, differing in body and hair colors.

Nirvana versions:

  1. Hong Kong (US market)
  2. United Kingdom (1)
  3. Argentina (1)
  4. Mexico (1)
  5. Italy (2)
  6. Peru (3)
  7. Spain (1)
  8. Venezuela (8)
  9. Others: Plush Posey.

More Vintage My Little Pony

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.
