Starshine is a Generation 1 My Little Pony introduced in 1983 as part of the Year Two Rainbow Ponies set. She is a white pegasus pony featuring a vibrant rainbow-colored mane and tail, with shades of pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Her symbol consists of a glittery yellow star with trailing rays, reflecting her celestial theme. In 2018, Starshine was reissued for My Little Pony’s 35th Anniversary by Basic Fun, allowing both new and longtime fans to appreciate her classic design.
Internationally, Starshine was released with variations in different countries. In France, she maintained her white body but featured a mane and tail with different color combinations, such as pink and white. Greek versions of Starshine included diverse color schemes, with some ponies having a white body and blue hair, or a pink body with purple hair.
