Sunlight is a Generation 1 My Little Pony introduced in 1983 as part of the Rainbow Ponies collection. She features an aqua-colored body with a mane and tail striped in vibrant rainbow hues, including pink, yellow, green, and blue. Her symbol consists of a silver sun partially obscured by golden clouds, reflecting her sunny disposition. In 2018, Sunlight was reissued for My Little Pony’s 35th Anniversary by Basic Fun, allowing new and old fans alike to appreciate her classic design.
Internationally, Sunlight was released with variations in different countries. In France, she maintained her aqua body but featured a mane and tail with different color combinations, such as pink and white. Greek versions of Sunlight included diverse color schemes, with some ponies having a white body and blue hair, or a pink body with purple hair. These international variants are highly sought after by collectors, showcasing the global appeal and diverse representations of Sunlight.
