Description

Twilight is a Generation 1 My Little Pony introduced in 1983. She features a pink body, a mane of white with a purple stripe, purple eyes, and a symbol of five dark pink stars. In the animated special “Rescue at Midnight Castle” (also known as “Firefly’s Adventure”), Twilight is portrayed as a kind and gentle pony who looks after the baby pony Ember. Despite not being sold in the UK, she appeared prominently in the UK My Little Pony comics, often depicted as a mysterious figure who grants wishes after dark, surrounded by a strange mist.

Country Variations:

  • Argentina: Multiple variants exist, including one with a white body, red, yellow, and green hair, lime green eyes, and green outlines of stars; another with a mint green body, white hair, blue eyes, and red outlines of stars; and a rare version with a white body, white tail only, no eye paint, and dark blue outlines of stars.
  • France: Released with a pink body, white hair with a purple streak in the mane, blue eyes, and nine purple stars as her symbol.
  • Greece: Variants include a yellow body with teal hair featuring a yellow stripe, lilac or light blue eyes, and six red stars; and an orange body with lilac hair featuring a pink stripe, lilac eyes, and six red stars.

The accessories were a blue star comb, a light blue ribbon, and a puffy sticker.

More Vintage My Little Pony

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more.
