Wavebreaker is a Generation 1 My Little Pony introduced in 1983 as part of the exclusive Sea Ponies set released in select European countries, including the UK. She shares identical physical characteristics with the U.S. Sea Pony named Wavedancer, featuring a pink body, blue hair, and blue-tipped fins. Designed for aquatic adventures, Wavebreaker was accompanied by a yellow clamshell-shaped float equipped with a white suction cup, allowing her to gracefully glide on water surfaces. Her serene expression and aquatic design made her a cherished character among collectors and fans of the original My Little Pony line.
In Italy, Wavebreaker was released with a golden yellow clamshell float, differing from the standard yellow version. This Italian variant also included pink seashell-shaped brushes and combs, adding a unique touch to her accessories. These international variations highlight the brand’s adaptability and the global appeal of the Sea Ponies.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
