Baby Dancing Butterflies is a My Little Pony Generation 1 vintage toy released by Hasbro in 1990-1991 as part of the Twice As Fancy Baby Ponies collection.

The Mail Order ponies of Year Eight also included six Twice as Fancy Baby Ponies. These are the only TAF babies in the entire G1 family and are sought-after by collectors. The fact that they were only available as Mail Order toys makes them also a little more difficult to find. Interestingly, three of the TAF babies (Baby Sugarberry, Baby Dancing Butterflies, and Baby Milky Way) were also released in Japan as G1 retro merchandise key chains during the G2 era.

Baby Dancing Butterflies is in the baby glory pose, has a yellow body, bright yellow hair, blue eyes, and blue and pink butterflies.

More Vintage My Little Pony

My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

(My!) My Little Pony G1 Guides

The world of My Little Pony is… huge. We’re talking thirteen years of collections featuring all sorts of figures and toys! So, I’ve been working on creating smaller guides to help you navigate this wonderful pastel-colored world. Below, you will find (some!) pages with ponies sorted by year, collection (such as Birthflower ponies, Spanish Piggies, etc), country, and much more. I hope they help!

With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial Vintage My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line. The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world.

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
