Year Five (1986-1987) of the My Little Pony G1 lineup saw the debut of the Big Brother Ponies, characterized by their larger stature and feathered hooves, the Princess Ponies, who brought a touch of royalty and magic to the series, and new versions of So Soft Ponies and Twinkle Eyed Ponies, among many others.

So Soft Ponies were distinguished by a layer of soft flocking covering their bodies, giving them a fuzzy texture that added to their charm. Among the many So Soft Ponies, some standout names include Crumpet, with her warm and inviting tea-time theme, Taffy, who brought a playful and sweet aesthetic to the group, and Twilight, a dreamy pony with her magical and celestial design.
Angel was introduced in 1986 as part of the So Soft Ponies II collection. She is presented in the Quackers Pose, and her body is a soft green hue, complemented by turquoise hair that flows gracefully.
