Description

Merriweather is a delightful little pony with a personality as cheerful as a sunny spring morning. Her design is one of the most whimsical in the Twice as Fancy lineup, with bright, pastel-colored raindrops and cheerful umbrellas decorating her soft yellow coat. She truly embodies the idea of a playful drizzle turning into a fun adventure. Whether she’s splashing in puddles or watching the rainbow emerge after a storm, Merriweather is the type of pony who finds joy in even the grayest of days. Her mane and tail are a lovely combination of pink, purple, and blue, giving her an airy and whimsical appearance. She’s the kind of pony who would probably love a good cozy day indoors just as much as she’d enjoy twirling in the rain.

Merriweather’s personality is just as sweet as her name suggests—she’s known for her kindness and love of nature. If there’s a thunderstorm rolling in, she’s the first to reassure the other ponies that it’s just the sky having a little fun. Her ability to see the silver lining in any situation makes her an excellent friend and confidante. She’s also an expert at throwing “rainy day parties,” complete with board games, snacks, and plenty of laughter. Though she enjoys a little drizzle, she also adores the beauty of clear blue skies after a storm. Whether she’s outside or inside, Merriweather always finds a way to make things bright and cheerful for everypony.

My Little Pony G1 Essentials

If you want to learn more about ponies and how to restore them, here are two resources that can help. The first is the unofficial MLP G1 guide (which has photos, prices, etc). The second is my own book, Restoring My Little Pony!

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.

This unofficial MLP guide to the first generation of My Little Pony (known as G1) was created by Summer Hayes. The book provides everything a collector needs to identify G1 ponies and their accessories, and understand their value. The guide contains large, full color photos of every pony, playset and accessory released in the US (and in some cases in other countries) in the 1980s and 1990s.
