Diamond Dreams is a My Little Pony Generation 1 vintage toy released by Hasbro in 1988-1989 as part of the Merry Go Round collection.
The Merry Go Round Ponies had quite a unique appearance. Instead of painted symbols, they featured molded saddles with flowers, tassels, hearts, and more. These beautifully sculpted details made them look like carousel horses! All Merry Go Round ponies were Earth ponies. There are only six of them in the entire My Little Pony Generation One line, all released during Year Seven.
Diamond Dreams is in the quackers (modified) pose, has candy red hair, purple eyes, and a purple, pink and white saddle.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial Vintage My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line. The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world.
Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
