Sunglory is a My Little Pony Generation 1 vintage toy released by Hasbro in 1991-1992 as part of the Sundazzle Ponies collection.
The Sundazzle Ponies had bright colors and very contrasting eye shadow, which makes them quite easy to identify when comparing Sweetheart Sister ponies. The central stripe on these ponies’ mane and tail changed from blond to purple or magenta when exposed to the sun, a gimmick that had been used in previous years as well and was also popular in contemporary Mattel Barbie dolls. In addition to this color-changing feature, the hair was also factory-crimped.
Sunglory is in the spring song pose, has cerulean blue and blond hair (to magenta under U.V), pink eyes with orange eyeshadow, and a pink and purple parasol in front of an orange and pink sun.
My Little Pony, launched by Hasbro in 1983, was a beloved toy line featuring colorful ponies with brushable manes and unique symbols, or “cutie marks,” on their flanks. Each pony had its own name and personality, from unicorns to earth ponies and pegasus ponies, inviting kids to immerse themselves in a magical world of friendship and adventure. The toy line was accompanied by animated specials, a TV series, and movies, making My Little Pony a cherished part of 80s and 90s childhoods and a timeless classic for collectors and fans.

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more. The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
