For the first time in My Little Pony’s history, the Tropical Ponies were a lineup that featured wild neon colors — not just on their body or hair, but also as part of their symbols and eye shadow. In fact, if you look closely, you will notice the latter has not one but two intense shades that meet in a gradient (mirrored and inverted depending on whether it’s above or below the eye).
My Little Pony Year 8
There were only four characters in the Tropical Ponies set released during Year Eight: a unicorn, a pegasus, and two earth ponies. Each of them was named after a Tropical Fairy Tail Bird, another Hasbro contemporary line.
