My Little Pony G1 Twinkle Eyed Ponies

The Twinkle-Eyed Ponies had gem-like eyes and multicolored hair. The first set was released as part of Year Four and included shooting star brushes.

My Little Pony G1 Twinkle Eyed Mimic (Vintage)

The Twinkle Eyed ponies were released in two distinct sets. The first set came out in Year Four (1985-1986) and included fan favorites like Galaxy, Gingerbread, and Masquerade. The second set followed in Year Five (1986-1987), continuing the line with even more designs.

Each pony in the My Little Pony TE lineup has a unique theme, from celestial motifs to festive and theatrical inspirations. The Year Four Twinkle Eyed Ponies (released in 1985-1986) and the Year Five Twinkle Eyed Ponies (released in 1986-1987) both feature ponies with their iconic jeweled eyes, but there are some some differences. Below, you will find the complete list of Twinkle-Eyed G1 (Generation 1) ponies and where to find them!

My Little Pony Year 4

Twikle Eyed Little Ponies

The Year Four Twinkle Eyed Ponies introduced the concept of jeweled eyes and included the first group of ponies in this style. Year Four ponies had relatively simpler and more classic designs. Their body and mane colors were often bold, but their symbols were usually smaller and less detailed. The Y4 Twinkle Eyed Ponies were also part of the earlier My Little Pony media and had broader, more generalized personalities related to their symbols.

My Little Pony Year 5

Twikle Eyed Little Ponies

The Year FiveTwinkle Eyed Ponies expanded the lineup with additional characters like Mimic, Quackers, Locket, and Bright Eyes. These ponies continued to build on the popularity of the jeweled eyes but introduced more unique designs and symbols. The Year Five Twinkle Eyed Ponies often had more distinct backstories and themes in merchandise or media appearances, like Mimic’s mystical powers or Quackers’ playful personality.

The world of My Little Pony is… huge. We’re talking thirteen years of collections featuring all sorts of figures and toys! So, I’ve been working on creating smaller guides to help you navigate this wonderful pastel-colored world. Below, you will find (some!) pages with ponies sorted by year, collection (such as Birthflower ponies, Spanish Piggies, etc), country, and much more. I hope they help!

With 400 pages of G1 ponies, The Unofficial My Little Pony Companion is a deep dive into the world of My Little Pony and the people who created the line.

The book includes custom-made images of thousands of pony variants, graphics, beautiful illustrations, and, for the first time, a comprehensive list of ALL Nirvana (foreign) ponies shown and described in detail—as well as previously unknown details about how ponies were manufactured and distributed all around the world. Follow the link to learn more!

Restoring My Little Pony is the result of almost three years of restoring and customizing My Little Pony toys for my channel RetroGeek Crafts. The book contains 86 pages full of detailed step-by-step guides, project features, material and technique comparisons, and much more.

The book is mostly focused on My Little Pony Generation 1 (MLP G1). However, these techniques can be applied to all other generations, including MLP G2, G3, G4, and even G5.
