Saint Seiya Myth Cloth is a Bandai toy line popular with followers of the anime classic Sait Seiya. In 1987, Bandai released a series of action figures featuring the main Bronze Saints and Gold Saints. These vintage figures are relatively easy to find (if you know where to look!). Now, here’s the good news: You don’t need to go to Japan to get them. I’ve added links below to all the Saint Seiya Bandai vintage toys on eBay, so you can get them second-hand.
What Is The Bandai 1987 Saint Seiya Line?
The original Bandai Saint Seiya 1987 action figures line featured highly detailed and articulated figures based on the characters from the Saint Seiya anime and manga series. The purpose of this toy line was to bring the iconic Bronze Saints to life. This is why the line included the main protagonists who donned the mystical Bronze Cloths and fought to protect the goddess Athena.
The figures in the Saint Seiya 1987 line showcased Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Shiryu, Cygnus Hyoga, Andromeda Shun, and Phoenix Ikki, each wearing their respective Bronze Cloths. The same year, Bandai also released the twelve Gold Saints.

Even if the figures inside are “heavily played with” (like mine and my brother’s were), the boxes are totally worth it on their own.

Bandai also released the twelve gold saints i 1987. These figures represented the elite warriors known as the Gold Saints, who were the most powerful and revered protectors of Athena.
The Gold Saint figures were crafted with great attention to detail, capturing the distinct characteristics and personalities of each character. Each figure stood approximately 16 centimeters tall and featured multiple points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses.
The 12 Gold Saint figures included Aries Mu, Taurus Aldebaran, Gemini Saga, Cancer Deathmask, Leo Aiolia, Virgo Shaka, Libra Dohko, Scorpio Milo, Sagittarius Aiolos, Capricorn Shura, Aquarius Camus, and Pisces Aphrodite. Each figure was adorned with their respective Gold Cloth, intricately designed to resemble the powerful armor worn by the Gold Saints in the series.
