What Were The Most Popular Girl Toys of the 1980s? Vintage Toy Review

Vintage Girl Toy Lines - 1980

During the 1980s, toys (regardless of whether they were designed for girls or not) had a few things in common. First of all, they were NOT easy to get! Nowadays, you can buy new and old toy lines online. Back in the 80s, the process was a little different. It would, however, all generally start with seeing a toy on TV – usually during those endless ad breaks in cartoons. And then the long wait would begin. Sometimes it could be a little trip to the shops. Most of the time, it meant waiting for the holiday season, a birthday, or a special celebration or event. Toys also used to fly off the shelves fairly quickly (that is, if they even made it to your closest shop in the first place!). It’s not surprising, then, that a lot of people had to wait until they were adults to get their favourite vintage girl toys.
