Year 7 of Hasbro’s My Little Pony continued the trend of creativity seen in previous releases while also debuting ponies with more interactive features, color-changing abilities, and sculpted details. It was a standout year that saw both innovation and nostalgia, as Hasbro experimented with new styles while still maintaining the charm of classic My Little Pony designs.
Some of the biggest highlights of Year 7 included the Merry Go Round Ponies, known for their intricate carousel-inspired saddles, and the Sunshine Ponies, which had special hair streaks that changed color in the sunlight. This year also introduced the second set of Big Brother Ponies, featuring rugged, adventurous stallions with bandanas and themed accessories. In addition, Year 7 included a new round of Brush ‘n Grow Ponies, featuring extra-long, extendable tails that could be “grown” and retracted with a gentle tug. Popular pony sets like the Princess Ponies and Twice-As-Fancy Ponies also got new additions, keeping the excitement alive for longtime collectors.
